Selling items - Guild Wars Forums

Up to this point, all of my gold comes from hunting and selling drops to merchants. I have accumulated several gold weapons that I cannot use... should I sell them to a merchant or is there a place or method for selling to other players that I'm missing ? This is the first mmorpg I have seen that doesn't provide some kind of player vendor mode.... perhaps because GW isn't as weapon or armor upgrade driven as others ?

There are buy/sell sections of the forums, as well as an auction site here on Guru. Look at the top of the page for a link to it.

Items can also be traded to other players in "market town"s.
Like in Lion's Arch and Kamadan American districts.

Buy-section.
Sell-section.
Auction-section.

As has been mentioned, we have our own Trading forum here on Guru. If you're not sure about the price of an item or whether it is worth selling you can use the Price Check forum.

You can sell in towns and outposts but you must be persistent and have a good description of the item, plus there has to be an interested buyer in that outpost.

Depending on your stage of the game it is worth noting that not all drops will be worth selling to another player. Unless it is max damage and is either inscribable or has a perfect modification (15%dmg while health over 50% as an example) then you're probably best to sell it on to the merchant.
As above though, if you want to check the value use the price check forum.
